Strand (3)

The various components of any curriculum, which are necessary to enable students to meet the demands of a modern, globalised world.

 

Domain (16)

Domains describe the knowledge, skills and behaviours within a strand. Set of broader interdisciplinary capacities

Key Learning Area (8)

Major elements of the curriculum to be taught.

Dimension (39)

The focus areas related to each domain.

Strands (30 at Level 4)

The major knowledge and skills in each key learning area.

Learning Focus Statement

Outline the learning that students need to focus on if they are to progress in the domain and achieve the standards at the levels where they apply.

Curriculum Focus Statement

These outline the major content to be covered and describe appropriate contexts for course development.

Standards

Define what is essential and developmentally appropriate for students to know and be able to do at six different levels.

Learning Outcome

What should students know and be able to do as an outcome of their learning at this level

 

Indicator

These indicate how teachers will know that students have achieved the learning outcomes
